Born in Acton when it was still part of Middlesex, Dorothy Beatcon, now in her 75th year, has seen and endured much of life in the raw, and now devotes her time to trying to help others online and off. Since losing her mobility, she has succeeded, via the computer, in expanding her horizons. With her poetry she offers comical insights on the one hand, and on the other, reality, as most people would understand it. She hopes her readers will enjoy her poems, whichever ones they opt for. 'Possum' was first printed in 2004. First published in 2014.
